Urtės Račiūnaitės 3D vizualizacijų paroda „Lanksti materija“

Kovo 3 d. nuo 12 val. galerijoje „Galera“ (Užupio g. 2A) pradedama eksponuoti Urtės Račiūnaitės 3D vizualizacijų paroda, analizuojanti ekranų rekonstruojamas erdves ir fizinio įsikūnijimo ribas, jų pačių tapimą namais naujoms teritorijoms.

Paroda veiks iki kovo 22 d. 18 val.

LANKSTI MATERIJA

Kas toliau? Pasaulis keičiasi taip greitai, kad suprasti jį dabartiniame kontekste tampa sudėtinga kaip kontroliuoti nestabilų elementą. Ekranai rekonstruoja senas erdves ir fizinio įsikūnijimo ribas, bet taip pat tampa namais šioms naujoms teritorijoms. Skaitmenis pasaulis suteikia mums daugiau laisvės tyrinėti savo tapatybę, gebėjimą stebėti gamtą bei reiškinius, galimybę peržengti fizines, socialines ribas.
Ar linijos tarp skaitmeninės ir fizinės erdvių tampa vis nelankstesnės, poliariškesnės, nesuderinamos? O galbūt mes patys turime tapti lankstesni naujoms sistemoms? Juk esame tinklų mazgai, gyvuojame viduje to, ką sukuriame, ir tai yra mūsų viduje. Kurdami naujas, skaitmenines sistemas, pratęsiame jau egzistuojančius tinklus, randame naujų jungčių ir taip keičiame nusistovėjusias sąvokas. Kiekviena diena atveda ir toliau mus ves į naują realybę – tiek skaitmeninis, tiek „tikrasis“ pasauliai susiduria, atsiskiria ir liejasi tarpusavyje naikindami ir vėl ryškindami juos skiriančias ribas. Nepaisant to, jie vis tiek nėra kopijos, daugeliu atvejų šie tinklai yra susuktos, ištemptos vienas kito versijos. Ši lanksti ir visada besikeičianti visuma su savimi įsitraukia informaciją, jausmus, patyrimus, jungdama pasaulį kaip niekada anksčiau.

What is next? The world is changing so fast that understanding of it in the current context becomes as difficult as controlling of unstable element. Screens are deconstructing old understanding of spaces and physical embodiment but also become home for these new territories. Digital world is giving us more freedom to explore our identities, ability to observe nature, events, opportunity to transcend physical and social boundaries.

Do lines between digital and physical spaces become more and more inflexible, polar, incompatible? Or maybe we ourselves need to become more flexible with new systems? After all, we are nodes of networks, we are inside of what we create, and it is inside of us. By creating new, digital systems, we extend already existing ones, find new connections and thus change present notions. Every day brings us to a new reality – both digital and the „real“ worlds meet, separate and merge with each other. There are no distinct boundaries segregating both matters. In spite of that, they are still not the duplicates with respect to one another, in many cases twisted, stretched versions of each other. This flexible whole then engages with information, feelings, experiences, by that connecting the world like never before.
